Unawatuna Beach
Description

Unawatuna is one of Sri Lanka's most beloved beaches, nestled in a sheltered bay just 6 km south of Galle. The horseshoe-shaped beach is framed by lush green hills and calm turquoise waters, making it ideal for swimming, snorkelling, and relaxing. The reef just offshore teems with colourful fish, sea turtles, and coral formations. The beachside strip is lined with guesthouses, seafood restaurants, and beach bars, creating a lively yet laid-back atmosphere. Nearby attractions include Rumassala Hill, Japanese Peace Pagoda, and the historic Galle Fort.
